How To Prepare For NEET & JEE Along with Board Exam In Last four Months.

Hello dear aspirants of IIT-JEE & NEET and all parents. Being a mentor of IIT-JEE & NEET for last 10 years the most common question i have faced from students and parents is how to balance board preparation and entrance preparation that too particularly in last 3-4 months before boards. Should we only concentrate on boards? or we should continue to give more weightage to entrance preparation and lots of other queries. Today in this blog we will try to answer all your queries.

Understanding Importance Of Both Board & Entrance Exams-
So many students fail to do well in both exams as they do not understand the importance of both the exam. Board exam is important to raise your confidence before you enter at university level and also the scores of 12th board exams stays forever on your resume. However entrance exam res

Who are facing this problem -
We know entrance exams are based on both 11th and 12th syllabus with equal weightage to both. Usual way of preparing for these examination is to prepare for entrance right from 11th standard. But 90% students  neglect this fact and finally end in failure. Most of them they start preparing only in 12th standard which gives them pressure right from the pressure to balance board and entrance. So my advice for all the upcoming students is to start early and reach safe.

Now what Exactly What Should be done?
  1. Before December starts make sure you have learnt at least once your board syllabus completely.
  2. Now Plan your board preparations in next 60 days along with school revision exams.
  3. Some schools keep continuous routine till Jan 2nd week and some declare preparation holidays in both cases now you must find time for yourself study.
  4. If you are regularly attending school revisions then 6-7 hrs will be enough.
  5. If you have preparatory leave then you must study for 10-12 hours a day.
  6.  In first case you can spend 1.5 Hrs daily for entrance and in second case you can spend 3 hours.
  7. Now it is always advisable to relax yourself and not worry about missed out 11th portions for now.
  8. That means in your daily routine of Dec & Jan you must study entrance and that too of 12th portions only.
  9. You should chose the unit which you have already studied on same day for boards.

How To Study In These 1.5-3 hrs
  1. Write the unit name and try to list down all important terms, formulae without referring the book.
  2. Then make solve all the previous year entrance (At least last 10 Years) questions on the same unit.
  3. This will give you enough confidence for the entrance exam after these questions if time permits you can solve your institute unit test paper (Questions which you did wrong in that exam on priority)
  4. For those who are spending 3 hrs in entrance preparation should touch all the three subjects in a day.
  5. This method will keep you on track for entrance preparation.

Weekend Test & 11th Preparation-

  1. Above schedule students will have to follow for 6 days a week
  2. On Sunday they should spend completely 9 Hrs for entrance preparation.
  3. 4 hrs for 1 major unit of 11th standard( To partially reduce 11th stress)
  4. 2 Hrs of formulae revision
  5. 3 hrs of full syllabus mock
  6. It does not matter even if you are not prepared fully attempt the test for three hours and try to recall whatever you have prepared in 12th and 11th.
This strategy students can use till last week before board exam. There onwards they should target only on board exams.

Wish you all the best for preparation
