HOW TO PREPARE FOR NEET PHYSICS-2020

HOW TO PREPARE FOR NEET PHYSICS-2020

As we know change is the only thing that remains constant, so we have this year, as per the decision of Health Ministry and under NMC act, institutes of national importance like AIIMS and JIPMER are merged into NEET, which means admission to MBBS courses in AIIMS and JIPMER will be through NEET-UG from 2020. Now, many of you might be having lots of questions regarding the Exam pattern and new situations that are going to arise. So, let us discuss those things first.

What we can expect due to this merging and a collaborative exam is that the question level may go a little higher or we can say standard. Other than that, the syllabus is going to be the same, and the concepts are going to be as limited as these exams have asked already in previous years.

We all know that the physics in any medical entrance makes a difference among the pursuing candidates. If candidates have a grip on the concepts and a clear visualization of the questions, after they go through it, then they are securing a high score overall which determines a good rank.

So, as time is getting closer we need to have a good preparation strategy for physics.
Most of the students do a lot of silly mistakes like misreading the question, darkening the wrong bubble, ticking an answer different from what you got, wrong calculations, etc. Sometimes during examinations students get stressed due to lesser attempts and end up doing questions which they are not so sure about. Sometimes

Here are some ways to minimize the mistakes and negative marking in NEET paper and score more in physics paper.

1. Practice more questions in bounded time duration. Remember, attempting more doesn't make you succeed in the initial levels, but your attempts will increase on its own with time. Try to learn concepts and make a flow chart of all related logic that can be fetched out of a given question. Practicing this way during self-study will create a mind map for a particular section of the question and that will be useful to increase speed while attempting during the examination. You should think before solving and eventually, your speed will increase. Candidates should make their answer-key at home and practice 30 random questions within a time limit.

2. A large number of problems have to be solved which in turn not only increases the speed but also leads to the development of thoughts very quickly and the thoughts for a particular problem-solving strike very fast.

3. Take a deep breath and relax while sitting for exams. This habit should be taken care of at home during self-study also.

4. Do calculations clearly on the clean side of the rough sheet. not overwrite and calculate.

5. Read the full question properly, then look for the options. There is one of the most serious problems. Sometimes we get a correct answer even if the concepts applied are wrong, and then we make a mind set up to use that always. We try to make our ways to solve questions, which is a good thing but not if your way is wrong. Your aim should not be learning all the questions (especially in Physics) but to understand it.

6. Don't be in a hurry while attempting Physics. Read both questions and options properly. Questions are meant to be studied. It is better to give time while studying questions and look whether you know how to approach or not. Then proceed further. Sometimes the units of physical quantities give ideas about the final answer.

7. Never try to guess the answer as it will unnecessarily create negative marking. You will realize that the NEET exam is quite different from the paper given by institutes because mostly you face part tests and not the whole syllabus. So, you end up seeing even the unimportant topics in the paper. Work on efficiency, overall attempt will increase in the exam, because most of it would be something that you have seen already. Revision is a key factor here. you should mark those topics which you find in the previous year questions that appeared from unimportant topics. And, make a quick revision a few days before the NEET examination.

8. Study NCERT by heart: Always make a regular habit of studying NCERT daily so that in the last time there is not a big burden on you. NTA loves NCERT and therefore you also had to love it else you would be in problem.

9. Have confidence and faith in your hard work. Don't take much stress. Questions will be easy and you have to filter out and secure those questions which you can do easily. Then slowly move on to the questions which can be done with a few seconds more inputs. Stress is common but you may enhance your learning through meditation and taking a half-day weekly break.

10. Give ample time for bubbling OMR as it is the mirror of your hard work. After bubbling the OMR sheet you should have a few minutes left to attempt marked and do-later questions.

In NEET, questions are basically, touching every chapter. So, there we cannot be much sure about the must to do topics. But, the topics like Electrostatics, Current and Electricity, Thermodynamics, Waves and Oscillations, Gravitation, Modern Physics are many important topics that one should have a proper grip on.
